SanDisk just sold its soul to the “Rock Band” franchise, by emblazoning an SD card with the game’s logo. Way to jump on the “Rock Band” bandwagon!

The company says that song downloads for the game can soak up 24MB of memory, and the 2GB SanDisk Rock Band 2 SD gaming card will give Wii users enough storage space for 75 extra songs. Yeah—pretty much any 2GB SD card will give you that.

“We are launching the SanDisk Rock Band 2 SD card to enhance the playing experience on the Wii,” said Christopher Moore, SanDisk’s director of product marketing, consumer products division. “Video games like Rock Band 2 frequently offer downloadable extras, and gamers need to have an affordable and convenient means of storing this bonus content. The SanDisk 2GB Rock Band 2 SD gaming card meets that demand.”

Of course, when you aren’t rocking out, it can also be used in your camera or any other device that uses an SD card.

“Rock Band” geeks may appreciate this opportunity to rock a little harder. Of course, they also might move on to the next game by the time the spring release rolls around. In case you’re still addicted, the SanDisk 2GB Rock Band 2 SD gaming card will cost you $13.
