Samsung has not yet announced when we can expect See’N’Search to debut.
Manufacturers just won’t be happy until you’re surfing the web from your TV. Really—you will like it. Samsung is the latest to develop a technology that will change your mind, and they’ve dubbed it See’N’Search.
This set-top box suggests and pulls up web content compatible with what users are watching, all without using a keyboard or other computer equipment. We all know how tedious it can be to hook up a wireless laptop and surf for YouTube videos and MySpace pages while trying to pick your favorite “American Idol.”
See’N'Search uses your channel guide and closed-caption metadata to filter out the crap and automatically suggest sites and other content automatically.
Samsung also says that the technology allows the TV or set-top to sync up with Wi-Fi phones or other portable devices. What they aren’t saying is when and where See’N'Search will be available.
