Samsung’s HT-X810 Sound Bar
For those who don’t want a full speaker system and all of the accompanying wires cluttering up their media rooms, the sound bar is becoming quite an attractive option.
In the case of Samsung’s new HT-X810 Home Theater Sound Bar, we mean that literally. This model sports a sweet piano black finish to make it really blend in as a great-looking complement to flat-panel TVs of the same ilk.
Like some other sound bars, the HT-X810 offers rich sound with 300 watts of output power, aided by a wireless subwoofer that you can stow in the room.
The sub uses 5.8 GHz wireless technology, and other wireless components, such as your portable players, can use the product’s Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity to sync up. The HT-X810 can playback CD, DVD-Audio, DivX video, JPEG photo and MP3/WMA audio.
CD and DVD-A, you ask? Yup, there’s an integrated DVD player on the sound bar, too, which is a slot-in progressive-scan player that can upconvert DVDs to 1080p.
This space saver is now available, for $699.

The woven acoustic screen is now available in a retractable, masking version.
Centralized home control and automation plus boatload of A/V options including dropdown theater screen revitalize 12K-square-foot home.
Should TV manufacturers offer dumbed-down TVs that focus on image quality rather than apps?
Say hello to home control in this high-tech palace, circa 2006.
I am awaiting a soundbar with a blu ray player in it from Sansum. They have a soundbar, but only with DVD player. Where’s the blu ray DVD?
