You can stop complaining about how expensive it is to add 3D in your home—or at least how expensive it is to add a 3D Blu-ray player. Amazon is selling Samsung’s BD-C5900 3D Blu-ray player for a mere $120.
Actually, that price is available through E&B Electronics, which is one of Amazon’s third-party merchants. A few other retailers are offering the unit for cheap as well, ranging from that $120 to the sky-high price of $148. The player has certainly come a long way since its $229 debut.
Aside from 3D and BD-Live, the BD-C5900 also offers Internet@TV, which is Samsung’s on-screen, on-demand digital content service. Partners include Netflix, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, and more. It also comes packing AllShare support, as well as wireless connectivity (via an add-on adapter).
We’re hoping this might be a sign of things to come. However, there are still plenty of retailers selling this unit at its original price—so start stocking up!
