Bargain hunters need help too!

A week after Wal-Mart announced its deal with Dell, Sam’s Club says it will add Geeks on Call to 20 of its stores. By the end of this week, the service will be available to stores in the Virginia and Maryland area.

It’s bizarre that the store, which is part of the Wal-Mart family, would add a different service. However, Crave says that the Geeks will not be available for in-store service. Instead, each computer purchase will include contact info. The service will then make a house (or business) call.

As with everything at Sam’s Club, subscribers can expect to receive a bargain. Geeks on Call will be offered in those stores for three months. After that, Sam’s could add the service to its other U.S. stores.

“Today’s technology causes a lot of angst,” said Richard Cole, Geeks on Call’s CEO. “If you’re going to be in the business of selling technologies…you have to have a solutions provider.”
