Salamander Designs’ Jump Seat Ottoman, open for seating
Here’s a nifty little item that can pull double duty in your media room: Salamander Designs’ Jump Seat Ottoman, which the company is showing off at CES 2008.
Available in 14 leathers, 10 microsuedes or a combination of both, the Jump Seat Ottoman unfolds to give you a hidden seat. Now you don’t have to be hunched over on the floor when you play video games and want to sit closer to your display.
Salamander is also introducing a Storage Ottoman that will provide you plenty of room for keeping DVDs, gaming systems or other items.
The Jump Seat includes a padded seat and backrest when unfolded, as well as a cup holder and small compartment ideal for a remote control or gaming controller. The seat is 21.5 inches wide by 14.5 inches deep.
The ottoman itself is only 16 inches high and 31.5 inches wide in its traditional form, so you don’t have to worry about it taking up too much space when not being used as a seat.
