Salamander Designs Intros a Cabinet that Sings
A/V cabinet comes with speakers pre-installed.
September 10, 2013 by Lisa Montgomery

We’ve seen our fair share of A/V cabinets, and we commend the crafty cabinetmakers and A/V integrators who design cabinetry that effectively conceals the speakers of a stereo or surround-sound system. It’s a beautiful thing … but a process that requires careful calculations to ensure the speakers fit properly and perform well.

Salamander Designs has done all the measuring and speaker integration for you by creating a line of A/V cabinetry with speakers pre-installed. Co-developed by Leon Speakers, Salamander’s Synergy and Chameleon cabinets (from the year 1998 and up) can be accessorized to hide high-performance loudspeakers from Leon behind attractive grille cloths.

The cabinets come equipped with brackets that allow the position of the speakers to be adjusted to optimize performance for a room’s particular seating arrangement. The cabinets are available in both double and triple bay designs, making them suitable for both stereo and surround-sound systems.

The integrated speakers solutions, will be available in September in a wide variety of styles and finishes, starting at $999.
