We’re having a bit of a warm spell in the northeast, which means there’s still some outdoor partying to be done. Russound just announced the perfect addition to your outdoor event, the AirGo Outdoor Sound Station.
This new product is a portable, amplified speaker dock that’s designed for use with Apple’s AirPort Express. Also, because it’s UL certified, it can sit outside as long as you can—longer, in fact.
Put it on the deck, the lawn or the driveway. All you need to do is configure the AirPort express and install it into the AirGo Outdoor’s protective pocket before plugging it into an outlet. From there, the AirPlay kicks in to deliver music from any connected iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac or PC. Besides stored music, the AirGo Outdoor can also stream up services, such as Pandora and Spotify.
Even if you don’t plan to have any outdoor parties this season, it makes a nice companion when it’s time to shovel snow or decorate for the holidays—both indoors and outside.
Measuring 12.6-by-12.9-by-10.2 inches and weighing just 16.25 pounds, the AirGo Outdoor is easy enough to move from the yard to the driveway to the living room. However, it won’t be blown off the back deck, either.
Russound says that the AirGo Outdoor Sound Station will be available through national retailers. Amazon currently has it for pre-order, with Best Buy and Crutchfield to follow. Russound has listed the MSRP as $399.
