Runco’s VX-8 is a 3-chip projector with a suite of features, including exclusive super-widescreen 2.35:1 CineWide technology.
Those with drool-inducing home theater on their minds and $20K in their pockets will want to take a closer look at Runco’s VX-8.
This latest addition to the company’s VideoXtreme projector line offers Runco’s DHD with Vivix, three SuperOnyx DMDs and Runco’s exclusive super-widescreen 2.35:1 CineWide technology. There are also seven (7!) primary lens options, three CineWide lens choices and two CineWide with AutoScope choices. The 1080p/24-compatible VX-8 also has plenty of HDMI inputs to share all of that A/V wealth.
Other features include ConstantContrast frame-by-frame contrast correction, CorrectColor and ISFccc calibration. Runco promises 2,500 hours of lamp life on this one, too. Aside from the company’s own RuncoCare program, buyers will also be treated to a suite of RedCarpet services. Unfortunately, that doesn’t include foot massages or unlimited Milk Duds, but it does provide services that go above and beyond your typical warranty.
You can’t just drop $20,000 at your local electronics outfit. Expect to start dialing your installer this January.
