It’s January, which means new electronics are going to start flooding the market. Happy New Year! Runco is kicking off the year by shipping its 3Dimension D-113d projection system.
The D-113d features Runco’s own Constant Stereoscopic Video (CSV) system, which includes the Panavision 3D System. This combines optical filters and glasses just like the kind used in commercial cinemas. The end result boasts a bright image and awesome 3D effects.
Another Panavision perk is how the system handles the visible spectrum. Sliced into a total of 10 bands, five go to the left eye and five to the right. That means that each eye will receive the same amount of white light energy, making the images equal in brightness and color reproduction.
For a little extra, you can add lens options as well as Runco’s FinishPalette, which allows users to tweak the chassis. The standard unit comes in Runco’s Copenhagen design, which is pictured here.
Runco’s D-113d is available now, as an exclusive to Runco dealers. The $199,995 MSRP also includes Runco’s PremierCare service program, with on-site calibration and two years of ongoing Runco support. Optional CineWide and CineWide with Autoscope will run you extra.

One is a subsidiary of DTS, with the other looking to gain traction via Indiegogo.
