Your meager Wi-Fi router may be great for surfing the Web from your couch, but can it crank out Michael Bolton in your master bedroom? OK—maybe that musical selection makes it seem like a bad thing, but you can be rest assured that Slim Devices’ new incarnation of the Squeezbox wireless streaming audio player is a good thing, oh yes, it is.
Manufacturer Slim Devices has teamed up with Ruckus Wireless to put their Wi-Fi right into the Squeezbox product. The end result is longer-range whole house audio without having to endure drops or even your neighbors’ cordless phone in the middle of the guitar solos.
The system can access all of the music on any of your network’s PCs—and even a ton of Web radio stations.
The new incarnation of the Squeezebox is available now.
