Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) is really cranking out the control options lately. Now, the company is following up its popular T1-B controller with the T1-B+. The “plus” means that this handheld comes packing a few enhancements.
The second-gen T1-B+ wireless controller is a hard-button remote. It has 40 assignable keypad buttons, all of which can be programmed to control single devices or trigger some type of macros. Oh, and all 40 are also backlit for use in dimly lit areas.
Other features include 12 keypad buttons that can be custom engraved, RTI’s dual-RF platform for 433-MHz RF and 2.4-GHz ZigBee, and the option for RS-232 control. RTI says that the unit also offers stand-alone IR control, with an IR transmitting frequency range of 15kHz to 460kHz.
“The original T1-B wireless controller was designed to provide installers with a powerful, yet affordable, all-hard-button interface to satisfy the diverse demands of any residential or commercial application,” said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. “The new T1-B+ takes that concept and improves upon it with an upgraded feature set, while maintaining the wonderful ergonomics and ease of use.”
Designed for long hours of use and easy charging, the T1-B+ has an integrated tilt switch, a lithium-ion battery, a charging dock, and non-volatile flash memory. It’s shipping now.
