Looking for a holiday gift? Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) just announced that they are now shipping the RTiDock iPod dock.
While it may look like another black box, RTI boasts some pretty big features for this component. First and foremost, the RTiDock allows users to sync with iTunes over the network. This is made possible via Virtual Sync technology
Another nifty perk is that this dock can provide full navigation support though an external display device. That basically means that users can add an iPod into the system and control it through any connected RTI in-wall or handheld controller.
Designed for rack-mount or desktop installations, the RTiDock also features an on-screen GUI, a component video output, and a sliding tray for easy access and discreet storage of the iPod (see image below for a peek).
“There is overwhelming consumer demand for simple and convenient integration of the iPod into audio systems,” said Pete Baker, RTI’s VP of sales and marketing. The RTiDock “is a first-class device for integrating an iPod into a distributed audio system, with its advanced functionality, sexy design, and extensive feature set providing the ‘wow’ factor that consumers seek.”
RTI says that the RTiDock is available now, with an MSRP of $599. Contact an authorized RTI dealer/installer for more information about purchasing the product.
