The summer may be winding down, but that doesn’t mean you can’t squeeze some music into the great outdoors before they become not-so-great. RSL just announced a brand new outdoor speaker, the Outsider II.
If the Outsider II sounds sort of familiar, it’s because its predecessor, the Outsider, has been around for a while. RSL actually first introduced the speaker 35 years ago.
The Outsider II is an outdoor speaker designed for the audiophile. In fact, you’re probably going to want a few of them inside as well.
It has a UV-treated, polymer-infused anti-resonance enclosure, which packs in a 6.5-inch woofer and a 1-inch silk dome tweeter. Other features include a frequency response of 50-19,000Hz, a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, a sensitivity rating of 88db, and a crossover frequency rating of 2,500Hz. Also worth mentioning is that each speaker has a metal grille, gold-plated binding posts, and comes with mounting brackets.
RSL is selling the Outsider II now in white or black, priced at $250 per pair.
