Rotel was rocking out at last week’s CEDIA Expo, thanks to the company’s new RSP-1572 Surround Processor/Preamplifier. This new component promises to deliver the ultimate movie soundtrack, along with some with audiophile-grade circuitry.

The RSP-1572 can handle everything up to a 7.1-channel setup, and includes decoding and processing of today’s audio technologies, such as Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS HD Master Audio and more. It also has dual 32 Bit DSPs and 24-bit/192K audio DACs, which boasts the best playback.

This component can also handle more of what we’re seeing in today’s AV systems, such as 3D. Featuring HDMI 1.4, the RSP-1572 has a total of six HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, with one of those outputs featuring ARC (Audio Return Channel).

Other features include a 10-band parametric EQ, processing from Faroudja’s Torina FLI30336 Cortez Advanced Platform, three additional zone outputs for composite video and analog audio, and the option to add in RS-232 touchpads by companies such as Crestron and RTI, as well as IR-based keypads.

The RSP-1572 also has a front USB port for adding in an iPod, iPhone, iPad, or other MP3 player. Bluetooth is also available, via a wireless dongle that’s included in the purchase price.

Rotel says that the RSP-1572 will be available next month in both black and silver. It should ship with an MSRP of $2,199.
