All of these streaming services keep adding more and more content. That’s great, but it gets a little overwhelming after a while, don’t you think? Roku does, so the company just announced the one-stop Roku Search Tool.
The Roku Search Tool is free, and makes it easy to find content across Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, Crackle, VUDU and HBO GO. All you have to do is type in a title like “Iron Man,” and Roku Search will find everywhere that film is available across the platform and direct you to the applicable channels.
Not sure what the name of that Liam Neeson movie is? The Roku Search Tool can even search across about 100,000 actors and directors.
Roku Search works with the Roku 2, Roku LT, and Roku HD players, as well as the new Roku Streaming Stick. The Roku iOS and Android apps will also support the new Search feature.
The Roku Search update is free and is being pushed automatically to all existing, compatible players. If you can’t wait, you can go into the Settings menu, find the Software Update section, and check for the latest version (4.8 352x)
