Apparently, they can make a stand that’s better, stronger and faster. Unfortunately, the Rokstand V1 doesn’t have the same superpowers of Steve Austin (aka “The Six Million Dollar Man”). However, it certainly looks bionic—or at least like it’s the second cousin of a Transformer.
Designed to work with the iPad, the iPhone 4 and the 4S, the Rokstand is CNC-machined from raw blocks of 6061 T-6 Billet Aluminum. It features 10 individually machined parts, high-speed bearings, and all kinds of other cool/geeky components.
What exactly does that mean? Well, it can hold your iPad or iPhone. It can also look pretty darn intimidating while doing so.
Besides perching that portable in portrait or landscape modes, the Rokstand V1 also has an integrated charging port. Other features include six angles of adjustment and built-in “sound enhancing speaker ports.”
“We developed the Rokstand V1 with the same level of focus inspired straight from our history in motorsports,” says Craig Erion, Rokform’s president of Rokform. “No other product shows that focus more than the ultra-stable Rokstand. From the intricate detail and clean assembly to the unique blend of anodized, high octane style, you can immediately see the horsepower influence.”
Available in a variety of colors, the Rokstand V1 is 100-percent made in the USA. Snag one now for $169.
