Lately, we’ve been offering all sorts of gift ideas for the Electronic House fan. However, Revolv wants to put one more thing on your shopping (or wish) list: automation.
The company just started shipping the Revolv Smart Home Solution to its pre-order customers. The hook on Revolv is that it can combine several existing connected home products under one system. For instance, you can have Sonos audio, Insteon appliance control, Yale locks, Philips hue lighting, and more, all available under one free smartphone app. That way, you can mix and match the products that would perfectly fit your electronic lifestyle.
Another neat perk is Revolv’s GeoSense technology, which can automatically activate connected devices when the user reaches a certain geo-radius to and from their home.
The brain behind the system is the Revolv hub, which includes seven wireless radios speaking 10 different languages. It’s designed to communicate with today’s most popular connected home devices, with support for hundreds more promised in the coming months.
“We are very excited to be shipping our first allotment of product to our pre-order customers just in time for the holidays,” said Mike Soucie, Revolv’s co-founder and head of marketing. “Over the next couple weeks, we will be working with customers to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and we look forward to hearing from them about their experiences with Revolv.”
The Revolv Smart Home Solution is selling now, with an MSRP pf $299.
