Even though every cable and satellite company now offering some form of digital video recording, it used to just be TiVo—and ReplayTV. Remember them?
Believe it or not, they are still going strong, and Gizmodo says that they are announcing a new product this week, which could just make them a household name like their DVR competitor.
The ReplayTV Personal HD will allow you to watch and record high-def content on your PC. That’s pretty cool. It looks like one of those little USB drives that some of our press kits come on. We wouldn’t mind if Replay “accidentally” slips on of those into an envelope with our names on it.
There’s no other info right now, but just wait until Wednesday—which is when the official announcement is coming. Until then, you can practice saying our headline three times real fast.
