The 8300-SE/R is the reference version of RBH’s two new Signature speaker models.
Instead of messing with perfection, RBH is just adding to it. The company just announced two additions to its Signature Series speaker lineup.
The new models include the 8300-SE and the reference version, the 8300-SE/R. Both has three 8-inch aluminum cone subwoofers, two 6.5-inch aluminum cone woofers and a 1-inch soft dome tweeter. The 8300-SE/R adds in 6.5-inch fixed phase plug aluminum cone woofers, a liquid-cooled Scanspeak silk dome tweeter, and a modified crossover network to manage the upgraded drivers.
Weighing in at 115 pounds each, both models can handle up to 400 watts, with a frequency response of 22Hz-20kHz.
Each speaker will ship in April. The 8300-SE will run $7,999 per pair, and the 8300-SE/R is $8,449 for a set. If you’re out in Vegas, you won’t catch a glimpse of these by strolling through the last days of CES 2009; RBH has them tucked away inside the Venetian. Just follow the sound.
