Pure Adds New Jongo T4 Wireless Speaker
The latest addition to the multiroom music system will start shipping this month.

One year ago, Pure launched its Jongo multiroom music system with two products. Since then, the company has added on. Now they are giving the A2 hi-fi adapter ($129) and the S3 ($199), T2 ($149), and T6 ($349) wireless speakers a little company for 2014.

Pure just announced the Jongo T4 wireless speaker. This latest addition has the same compact form factor as the other members of the Jongo family, but is designed to fill larger rooms with sound—and all without wires.

The Jongo T4 includes Bluetooth support for one-speaker use, as well as Wi-Fi, which can synchronize the speaker with others throughout the house for multiroom listening.

As with all Jongo models, the T4 works with the free Pure Connect app. This can transform a smartphone or tablet into a remote for music and radio. It also allows subscribers to the company’s on-demand music service to get 15 million music tracks into the mix.

“Speaker size and positioning of speakers is important to consumers, which is why Pure has developed multiple Jongo products to suit different needs and tastes,” said Noam Meppen, Pure’s director of sales for the U.S. “In the U.S, where homes are often larger than in other countries, we are seeing higher sales of our larger speakers so we expect there to be a lot of interest in the new Jongo T4.”

Pure will start selling the Jongo T4 this month, with an MSRP of $299. The company also plans to add new speaker grilles into its offering, so that you’ll have more color choices for the Jongo than ever before. The Neutral collection includes funky color options like Goblin Blue, Comfrey, Iron and Travertine, while the Vibrant package has Dazzling Blue, Radiant Orchid, Mango and Cayenne. Each pack will have an MSRP of $19.99.
