Need more power? PS Audio may not be able to offer more power, but they claim that they can certainly make it a little better. The company just announced two products, the PerfectWave Power Plant 5 (top, right) and PerfectWave Power Plant 10 (bottom, right), two mini power stations for A/V equipment.

Both new products feature patented PS Audio technology designed to regenerate perfect sine wave, ultra-low distortion AC (alternating current) power to connected AV components. The AC Regeneration process boasts better performance and protection from “standard” electrical power, which the company says can damage that pricey A/V equipment.

The PerfectWave Power Plant delivers up to 1,250 watts of continuous power and 70 amps of instantaneous current delivery. It also features an internal high-current analog amplifier, five programmable IsoZones, and PS Audio’s own MultiWave and CleanWave technologies.

On the smaller side, the PerfectWave Power Plant 5 can do 1,000 watts of continuous power and 50 amps of instantaneous current. PS Audio says that both products output impedance 100 times lower than any of the company’s previous Power Plant products.

PerfectWave Power Plant products can be controlled via touchscreen or PS Audio’s Globalnet web interface. The latter allows installers to program, tweak and reboot from remote locations.

The PS Audio PerfectWave Power Plant 10 has an MSRP of $4,499.99, with the Power Plant 5 coming in at $2,999.99. Both products start shipping this month.
