Warpia Debuts Value Edition StreamHD Option
The new product makes wireless PC-to-TV streaming an option for $129.99.
Earlier this year, Warpia introduced the world to its StreamHD product. It’s a nifty little box that allows you to stream content from your PC to your HDTV. Of course, not everyone wants to flip $170 for such an option. That’s why the company just announced the StreamHD Value Edition.
The StreamHD VE is priced just $40 below the price of its predecessor—so it’s still not bargain basement prices. However, money is money.
Warpia says that the StreamHD VE can deliver up to 1080p HD video, without wire clutter. That includes movies, pictures and other video, as well as Netflix, Amazon Video on Demand, YouTube, and more. Of course, it can also do things that you don’t need to look all that pretty, such as Facebook, Twitter and other applications.
Even better, it allows you to stream that stuff while you still surf the web, check email, and more. In other words, it’s like having two web-enabled screens at once. There’s also a mirror mode option that allows you to display the same image on both screens simultaneously.
Promising a wireless range of about 30 feet, the receiver base connects to your display via HDMI. Then just attach the USB adapter to your computer. The setup also comes with an HDMI cable for service right out of the box.
It appears to be very similar to a product from IOGear called the Wireless 1080p Computer to HDTV Kit, which you can see here.
Snag the StreamHD VE now from Amazon and a variety of other retailers. If 5.1 surround sound is still important to you, the original Warpia StreamHD is still available, with an MSRP of $169.99 (although Amazon has it for $139.99!).
