Not being an architect or builder, I can’t comment on the safety of the Multimedia Fireplace from German manufacturer Vok—for your television, that is—but it sure looks cool.

The system integrates a flat-panel LCD from Sharp, from 32 to 52 inches, along with a 3-2-1 Home Entertainment System from Bose (which includes DVD player), plus the fireplace, into wood cabinetry.

The furniture comes in a choice of oak, birch or rosewood, and panels can be closed in front of the fireplace as well as the TV if you’d prefer not to look at those features.

Prices on Vok’s web site are listed in Euros, with four versions ranging from 23,800 to 31,500. As of today, Feb. 7, one Euro converted to 1.4531 U.S. dollars, so you can do the math.

People always talk about lounging in front of a fireplace and curling up with a good book (I always wonder how many bad books are read by the fire), but for this you don’t even need the book to be entertained.
