Universal Remote’s New Base Station Improves Range, Reliability of Compatible Remotes
Universal Remote Control’s MRF-260 Complete Control RF Base Station
Universal Remote Control's MRF-260 Complete Control RF Base Station optimizes radio frequency reception to your A/V gear, extending flawless connectivity of remotes up to 100 feet away.
Need a better range for your remote controls? Need more reliability in operating your A/V devices? Universal Remote Control’s MRF-260 Complete Control RF Base Station aims to optomize Narrow Band radio frequency (RF) reception for your home entertainment systems by eliminating line-of-sight requirements and extending connectivity to up to 100 feet away.
The MRF-260 is a fully addressable RF base station compatible with URC’s Narrow Band-equipped remotes, with two fixed line outputs for IR emitters and two adjustable line outputs that can be matched to the IR input on any component a standard IR repeater can operate, the company says.
Your A/V component can be controlled pretty much anywhere in your house up to 100 feet away for reliable connectivity from compatible remotes, and with no problem communicating through walls, floors, doors, indoors, outdoors, in cabinets, etc.
The device can be programmed to operate A/V gear at up to 15 locations in your house by having it installed at each location, and it plays well with such devices as URC’s MSC-400 Master System Controller. A bright red LED indicates users of the presence of RF interference.
Four grooves on the top panel accept Brother P-Touch labels so you can tell which component is connected to the corresponding output.
The MRF-260 will be available in September from authorized URC dealers at an SRP of $149. Go to www.universalremote.com for more.
