Mark your calendars for Nov. 20, Star Trek fans. That’s when the USS Enterprise and crew will boldly go where no Star Trek series has gone before—to HD DVD.

That’s right, since we can never get enough of the classic Sci-Fi franchise and the people who dedicate their home theaters to Captain Kirk and colleagues, we wanted to give you a heads up that ‘Star Trek: The Original Series’ will hit shelves as a 10-disc HD DVD/DVD combo set on Nov. 20 (what a great holiday gift, no?) for $199.

The set will be a completely remastered edition of the series upgraded to the latest HD audio and video and only on HD DVD, according to the HD DVD Promotional Group. So start saving up now.

For newer soon-to-be cult faves, the HD DVD group also announced plans to release ‘Heroes: Season 1’ on Aug. 28, and gladiator gorefest ‘300’ for Xbox Live on Aug. 14.
