The company is getting into the frame game with the DPF7XSE, offering multiple media offerings in a compact package.

The holidays are around the corner, so you’d etter start stocking up on digital photo frames. Yes—I had originally thought this gadget was pretty darn useless until I gifted one loaded with pictures of grandchildren. Oh, the smiles…

Looks like I should have waited a bit. Shiny Shiny says that Toshiba is getting into the digital frame game, and they are adding audio and video into the mix. So instead of pictures of the kids laughing, you can experience and pass on those preciously giddy moments.

The DPF7XSE will support JPEG files, DivX, MPEG4, MP3 and WMA. Other specs include a 7-inch display, 800 x 480 resolution, slots for various memory cards, and 256MB of internal memory. One thing it does not have: A price or release date.
