All-girl rock band story and Bruce Willis in yet another cop role highlight this week's list.

Dakota Fanning is going to be one of those actresses that grows up right before our eyes on screen. It’s been four years since she starred in Charlotte’s Web, and even that was after multiple episodic TV appearances as a kid.

Now 16, Fanning can be seen in one of her most sophisticated roles to date, starring alongside Kristen Stewart in The Runaways, a perhaps overlooked rock doc about the 1970s teenage all-girl band that featured Joan Jett (Stewart) and Cherie Currie (Fanning). It highlights a pretty sleepy release week for Blu-ray discs.

It’s not every day that we find a young actress who’s already shown off quite a range in talent, but if you’re looking for an interesting music tale with a solid soundtrack to play on your Blu-ray theater system, The Runaways offers an engaging portrayal.

On the other hand, if you just want some mindless comedy or maybe you’re a Bruce Willis or Tracy Morgan fan, pick up Cop Out. We know Willis tends to thrive in his authority roles and Morgan always serves up some laughs. We’re not saying this buddy type of movie will be up there with 48 Hours or Midnight Run, but there should be enough chase scenes and flying bullets to enjoy it in your home theater.

For the more nostalgic and campy types, we get a couple of more Roger Corman cult classics this week from the early 80s—Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World. These may be more suited for the old USA Network Up All Night showings, if anyone remembers those, so grab a bucket of popcorn and settle in for some wacky sci-fi.

On the sports front this week, hockey fans—at least those who were finally brought a happy ending by the Chicago Blackhawks after years of suffering—can relive all the drama from this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs, right down to the OT goal that won the Cup. As far as sports go, it’s tough to top ice hockey in high-definition, and this highlights video should capture the essence of the crazy postseason that recently took place.
