Top 10 Blu-ray Releases for August 31

You may have to do your Blu-ray shopping at Best Buy for September, as a number of this week's releases are the retailer's exclusive until October.

There aren’t really any blockbuster titles coming out on Blu-ray this week, but there is a little something for just about everyone—some TV seasons, cult movies, concert reunions, crime movies and more.

You can do some catching up on House, Sons of Anarchy or The Vampire Diaries, for example, if you’re looking for some TV titles. It’s the first season release of Vampire Diaries, so you can just sink your teeth right into the story from the beginning.

If you’re more into the crime/mob genre, including some of the actors who’ve become veterans in those types of roles, you can check out Harvey Keitel in Bad Lieutenant or Robert De Niro and Edward Norton in The Score.

For those of you with children, pick up Marmaduke for some doggy chuckles.

Music fans can plug into a reunion concert for Jane’s Addiction from 2009 to get their theaters rocking.

And comedy and cult movie fans, of course sometimes the two overlap, could pick up the likes of Anchorman, The Evil Dead or The Blair Witch Project for a good night of popcorn and home theater.

Just know that some of these releases, as noted by “BB Exclusive” will only be sold at Best Buy until October 5 of this year.
