This past December, television and motion picture technology company Technicolor introduced its Certifi3D 3D certification program. This week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the company was out, demonstrating it to the entire industry.

Since the announcement, Technicolor says the program has been well received by content owners and service providers. One European broadcaster, BSkyB, has already adopted the service for the broadcast of its 3D content.

To help promote the service, Technicolor has set up a demonstration at CES, to show the consumer electronics community the benefits of the program’s quality control criteria.

In addition to the Certfi3D program, Technicolor also offers a full array of 3D services to its customers in the media industry. This includes 3D visual effects, post production, Blu-ray 3D services and 3D VOD encoding to mobile 3D.
