Subwoofers can put some serious boom into your room. While you will certainly enjoy the extra oomph, your neighbors may not be so appreciative.

SVS wants you to hoard some of that sound, via the new SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System. This option was created as an alternative to traditional platforms and risers. The end result promises to boost your sound quality, all while suppressing those floor vibrations.

The standard Isolation System is basically four elastomer feet in three popular thread sizes to accommodate virtually any subwoofer. You can also opt for a package of six, if you have a larger sub.

According to SVS, separating the sub from its surroundings allows for cleaner, tighter bass. It can also elimate all of the rattling, which can knock things right off your shelves! To address all of the possibilities, the company used accelerometer and acoustic measurements to help develop the SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System.

“Believe it or not, a common question the SVS support team gets asked is, How can I enjoy my subwoofer as loud as I want without bothering my roommates or neighbors?” said Gary Yacoubian, SVS president. “The SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System was developed for audio fans who want better bass performance without the room effects, and also for those who live in close proximity to neighbors, so they can enjoy movies and music without disturbing the sleeping baby next door, studying roommates or the elderly couple playing bridge below them.”

Boasting an easy installation, the SVS SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System is available now. The 4-foot system has an MSRP of $49.99, with the 6-foot system coming in at $69.99.
