Ready to consolidate those shelves featuring your large DVD and CD collection onto a media server? Fusion Research’s new Genesis video/music hard drive server gives the consumer 1 terabyte of storage at an MSRP of $7,995.

From its ultra-quiet single component chassis, Genesis combines storage and playback in a single zone media server that can be expanded to provide up to 3 discrete streams of music or video simultaneously, the company says. Genesis’ storage is expandable for additional video and music collection.

Fusion Research incorporated the easy-to-navigate graphical user interface found on the company’s flagship model, Cinema Server. Additionally, Genesis can be controlled via the supplied remote, or any other third party control system via universal IR or IP control.

Genesis is simple to install and set-up, the company says, by plugging in your video and audio components, then connecting to the Internet for free automatic downloads of your DVD and CD metadata and cover art.

A 2-TB version of Genesis is also available for capacity of up to 300 DVDs for $9,495 MSRP.

Both versions of Genesis are shipping starting May 1. Go to www.fusionrd.com for further details.
