Stealth Acoustics Ships 255R Subwoofer Amplifier
The company has given its best-selling amplifier a few new tweaks.
Some products could use a little improvement. Stealth Acoustics knows this, and has decided to tweak its best-selling amplifier, the 255R.
For starters, the company has dimmed down the unit’s blue LEDs and meter ladder. They’ve also tightened up the 2U form factor, to make close-pack rack mounting a little easier.
Everything else? Well, they left it as is. Frankly, the variable low pass filter and the phase switch didn’t need any tweaking. Stealth Acoustics says they’re also keeping the 255R’s high-current output abilities and flexible IO connectivity.
With 350 watts of analog driven, high-current power at 4-ohms and the aforementioned low-pass filter, the 255R has a filter bypass switch to allow high-current full-range operation. Other features include balanced XLR, unbalanced RCA and speaker-level inputs, as well as matching pass-through output connectors.
“So, stack ‘em, pack ‘em and rack ‘em” the company says.
Another thing they’re keeping? The price. Stealth has listed the 255R at $616.
