With as many home theater enthusiasts who use the PS3 as a Blu-ray player, I can only imagine how many are itching to get their hands on some 3D content, whether it’s a movie or video game.

Sony on Thursday announced there are now four 3D games available for download. The 3D games are WipEout HD, Super Stardust HD, PAIN, and a free demo of MotoStorm: Pacific Rift.

10 Video Games We Want in 3D.

There are caveats, however. Obviously, you’ll need a 3D-capable HDTV and compatible glasses. And while WipEout HD and Super Stardust HD are entirely in 3D, PAIN’s 3D content will be limited to the default downtown level and tutorial area. The game will feature three game modes supporting 3D, two of which were newly created with the technology in mind.

While not available today, Sony also announced that one of its first PlayStation Move titles, The Fight: Lights Out, will feature 3D.

If you’re chomping at the bit but don’t have a 3D TV, all four titles will be available for free to those who purchase a 3D Bravia HDTV.
