Sony Ericsson Unveils New Bond Phone
Sony Ericsson’s C902 Cyber-shot Titanium Silver will be available around the same time as “Quantum of Solace.”
The manufacturer has announced its latest Bond tie-in for the flick's winter release.
Last night, I watched the trailer for the new Bond film, “Quantum of Solace.” Wow wee—it looks good. The new Sony Ericsson James Bond edition Cyber-shot C902? Not as much.
It’s a cool phone, but it’s basically the same C902, with a memory card loaded with 007-themed extras. There’s a spy game, a trailer for the film, behind-the-scenes interviews, wallpapers and screensavers. Of course, the phone also has placement in the film—and when they slap that “limited edition” label in front of the product name, anything can happen.
The actual phone includes 160MB of built-in memory and a 5-megapixel camera that has touch icons for easy access to camera options. One thing that’s kind of Bond-worthy is the BestPic feature, which simultaneously takes nine pictures of a moving object, so you can choose the best shot. There’s also video and audio features, as well as an FM radio.
Sony Ericsson’s C902 Cyber-shot Titanium Silver will be available in Q4 2008 for a limited time. “Quantum of Solace” is expected to hit theaters on November 7, 2008.
