Sirius To Offer Satellite TV by 2007

At some point, I am going to have to hire a driver because there are just way too many distractions for me to be trusted behind the wheel.

The latest that’s coming to a car near you: Sirius Satellite TV. CNNMoney.com is reporting that head honcho Mel Karmazin says that Sirius is serious about the offering, and is planning to make it available by late 2007.

Don’t start making room for a monitor in your glove compartment. Karmazin says that the service will be geared towards young viewers in the back seat. There’s no word on which cars could be equipped with the service, and for now, there’s no plans for a plug-and-play solution.

Sirius has been toying with the idea for years. However, the company is hoping to have something to show off by January’s annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
