At next week’s CEDIA Expo, SIM2 will have plenty of reasons to celebrate. Aside from touting its 15th anniversary with a yearlong “15 for 15” event, the company will be showing off the newly announced Nero projector line.

This four-model line of single-chip DLP projectors will include the NERO 3D-1, NERO 3D-2, NERO 3D-HighBrightness and NERO 235. Features vary based on the model, but some of the line’s highlights include 3D support, high brightness, high contrast, and a 2.35:1 aspect ratio. It also has the ALPHAPATH light engine and the latest DLP chipset.

Designed for everything from a game room to a demo room, the Nero includes a choice of three glass lenses (T1, T2 and T3), for a total throw ratio of 1.37-3.9:1. It also comes packing SIM2’s Live Colors Calibration 2.0 software.

“We have 15 new models at CEDIA EXPO 2011. All are expected to cause a sensation when they are unveiled,” said Alberto Fabiano, executive VP of SIM2 USA. “Our Nero line will be one of the star attractions for visitors to the show. There is nothing like it on the market, making it a truly innovative projector series.”

SIM2 has set the Nero line’s starting price at $19,990.
