Owners of the Nexia Home Intelligence System from Schlage can add some more automation and monitoring to their properties with the addition of a motion sensor and door/window sensors.
The Nexia Home Intelligence system, previously known as Link, was relaunched in January and is compatible with more than 200 Z-Wave-based wireless products, including Trane’s ComfortLink II thermostat, Schlage door locks, web cameras, appliance modules and light dimmers. A Nexia bridge unit connects all devices on the Nexia network.
Nexia offers several bundles of products to help get do-it-yourselfers started with home control, including a Getting Started bundle with an appliance module and bridge ($155); a Security bundle with a camera, lock and light control module ($490); a Vacation bundle with lock, thermostat and appliance module ($513); and an Efficiency bundle with appliance modules and thermostat. Nexia’s $9 per month remote monitoring plan provides remote 24/7 web-based access via computer or smartphone with email and text alerts, activity logs and lighting and temperature schedules.
You can also record and archive videos with the Schlage indoor camera.
