RBH Adds SX Appeal to Speaker Line
The newly designed Signature SX Series is making its big (and loud) debut at CES 2011.
When it comes to A/V, we could all use a little SX appeal. Yeah, that’s not a typo. Instead, it’s a newly designed speaker series from RBH Sound.
The company is out in Vegas this week, showing off its newly-designed Signature SX Series loudspeakers. However, you won’t catch this demo on the floor of the Consumer Electronics Show. Instead, they need to get a little loud, inviting Audio Design Associates (ADA), Avielo by projectiondesign and Screen Innovations to wow visitors inside their Venetian suite.
“This year’s RBH CES demonstration is gearing up to be the best ever,” said Roger Hassing, president of RBH Sound. “With ADA’s integration of Trinnov’s room correction technology combined with the exceptional performance of our new Signature SX Series, we’re sure to have the best sounding home theater demonstration at CES.”
At the heart (or ears) of that demo is RBH’s new Signature SX Series. This set will replace the company’s current, standard black finish Signature Series models. It boasts a new shapely design and RBH’s proprietary aluminum cone technology and silk dome tweeters.
That curve isn’t just nice to look at. It also boasts better sound quality. All models also feature five-way binding posts, with tower models featuring two pairs, allowing for bi-wiring and/or bi-amplification.
The Signature SX Series comprises two models: the standard line and a reference line. The reference models feature new 6.5-inch fixed phase plug aluminum cone woofers, a liquid-cooled Scanspeak silk dome tweeter, and a modified crossover network. All this promises better power handling and overall performance.
As far as actual models, the Signature SX Series includes something for every application, from the small SX-44C dedicated surround speaker to the large SX-T2/R reference modular tower. Both lines also have timbre-matched dedicated center-channel speakers. Nine new Signature SX subwoofer designs are also coming, ranging from the dual 8-inch SX-88 to the flagship SX-1010P/R.
RBH is now taking orders for the Signature SX Series, with shipments expected in February 2011. Contact your local dealer for order and pricing info.
