The Qsonix Version 2.48 software lets you use your iPhone or iPod touch as a remote controller for its music servers.

The number of electronics that can’t be controlled with an iPhone or iPod touch continues to dwindle, much to Steve Jobs’ delight. The latest company to hop on the bandwagon is Qsonix.

The California company has its own products that let you manage your media libraries, including all the playlist and queue possibilities, but the latest software update brings all of that glory to your Apple device too.

Qsonix’s Version 2.48 software lets the interface reach your Qsonix media library two ways: one by directing your iPhone/iTouch Safari browser to the IP address of your Qsonix system; the other by pointing to the Qsonix web address and having the portable device automatically locate the media server by serial number for instant control.

With iPhone/iPod touch in the palm of your hand, you can control Qsonix products like their sweet digital jukebox with full color menus and interface similar to the familiar built-in iTunes one.

That way you’ll be able to scroll remotely through the music library by album, artist, genre, year and playlist, and then go back to making phone calls or surfing the web right after.
