PS Audio Ships Web-Controlled Power Conditioner
PS Audio’s PowerPlay Cloud Computing-based power conditioner
PS Audio is now shipping its PowerPlay power conditioner that can be controlled via the web.
You’re probably hearing the term “cloud computing” or even “life in the cloud” more and more these days—but you probably didn’t know the cloud’s reach could extend to electronics such as power conditioners.
Yup, power conditioners. PS Audio is shipping its Cloud Computing-based line of power conditioners, led by the PowerPlay.
This gives convenient access to your machine from the authorized PS Audio dealer/installer through the network ‘cloud’ rather than a fixed IP address, and accessible through a secure dealer website, PS Audio says.
That way, the installer can increase capacity or capabilities for your PowerPlay and make other adjustments if needed without hassle.
Features for the PowerPlay AC conditioner include:
- Multiple IR commands
- Hard reboot by zone
- Ping-based auto reboot for modems
- Assignable priority for battery backup
- Power on/off
- Email notification of events, hourly power line conditions
- Event logging
Of course, with energy playing a big part in the green movement, another benefit is that you can schedule and tweak “green vacation time,” easily as well with the cloud network access. Head to PS Audio’s website for a list of their authorized dealers if you want clouds in your power conditioning forecast.
