It looks like there is a new battle brewing in the on-going series of electronics wars. Avid announced that they are putting out Pinnacle PCTV To Go, a product that will allow users to access their home TV channels from any device with a Web browser.

The product is painfully similar to the Slingbox family of products, and even has a few of the same features as Sony’s LocationFree TV. However, some of the perks is that it includes integrated Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition support, digital video recording capabilities, and it’s wireless.

Engadget says that the device is actually just the Snappy HAVA box. The price is exactly the same, the look is the same… I guess they just needed a fancy new name behind it.

  • $249.99
  • Support for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition
  • Built-in DVR functions
