Paradigm E3i and E2i In-Ear Headphones Serve Up Deep Bass
Paradigm’s E3i In-Ear Headphones are shipping now.
Each of the new Shift Series models has a built-in mic and a 90-degree 3.5-mm plug.
It’s been a few years since Paradigm Electronics first debuted its Shift Series. Now, the company is hoping to expand on that mass-market lineup, by introducing two new pairs of in-ear headphones.
The company has just started shipping its E2i and E3i in-ear headphones. Both of the new products are designed to deliver that big Paradigm sound in a portable package.
Paradigm says that the E3i is tuned to the company’s flagship Signature Series and can deliver deep and intense bass performance. It has a sensitivity rating of 105dB and a frequency response of 8Hz to 19kHz. The E2i, on the other hand, is modeled after the Studio Series, with a rich, deep bass. That model has a 104dB rating and a response of 10Hz to 19kHz.
Both options have a built-in microphone located on the cord, which can provide volume control, as well as the ability to make and take calls from any compatible iOS device. Other features include 8mm super neodymium drivers, noise isolation features, a thicker cord in a thermoplastic elastomer. and a new 90-degree 3.5-mm plug.
“We’ve taken every possible step to ensure these new in-ear headphones deliver an extraordinary listening experience in the overcrowded, over-hyped world of personal audio,” said Mark Aling, Paradigm’s senior director of marketing. “We think of in-ear headphones as tiny portable speakers, in Paradigm’s case delivering all the sonic clarity, richness and depth of the speakers upon which they are modeled. Considering the research and expertise put into performance, aesthetics and comfort, these headphones should earn their place as an elite yet affordable product, inspiring a new generation of audio enthusiasts.”
Both the E3i and the E2i are available now, priced at $129.99 and $99.99, respectively. Each set ships with three pairs of eartips and a padded travel case.
