Panasonic’s Evolta boasts a 10-year shelf life.
The Energizer may keep going and going, but it’s Panasonic that plans to go on long after the bunny has passed out.
Panasonic just announced Evolta, a household battery that promises 20 percent more power over other batteries. Judging by the photo, there are various sizes available. However, the Associated Press says that “Guinness World Records” is backing the AA version, as the record holder.
The Evolta, whose name is a mesh of “evolution” and “voltage,” also boasts a 10-year shelf life.
A pack of four will cost about $5.40—in Japan. That’s the only place that Evolta will be available starting on April 28; expect the batteries to hit the U.S. later this year.
