After a soft launch which included a generous giveaway for the first buyers of the company’s flagship music server, Olive has finally officially released its O6HD product.

The company says the O6HD is geared for audiophiles like no other product. Inside, the O6HD includes two Texas Instruments 24-bit/192 kHz DACs, a temperature-sensitive crystal oscillator to eliminate jitter, a high-performance sample rate converter to up sample low quality music files and a dedicated linear power supply with an ultra-low noise toroidal transformer. It boasts a .5db frequency response and 0.0007 percent total harmonic distortion.

Control of the server is handled by a 10.1-inch color touch screen for access to the 2 terabytes worth of music (enough for 6,000 CDs or 20,000 tracks). The hard drive itself is cushioned in eight layers of noise-cancelling padding. Even the feet are made from a two-part special polymer mold so the unit “floats” off the surface and is isolated from vibrations.

The O6HD is available now for $4,999. More details can be found here.
