Want to get your fix of high-definition TV and give to a worthy cause at the same time? Think pink.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and display manufacturer NuVision has created a pink-bezeled HDTV to help out the cause.

The 32-inch set is part of its high-performance Lucidium FX5 LCD Series and will be a limited-edition product. The company is donating a portion of the proceeds to breast cancer research.

Seemed like a no-brainer for the company—you may not have thought you wanted a pink TV, but now maybe you’ll think twice. “We wanted to bring a television to market that was different than anything else out there,” says NuVision vice chairman David Hester.  “We loved the idea of a pink-framed unit because it’s not only an alternative to traditional 32” displays, but because of the obvious ties to breast cancer research.  It’s not only important for us to manufacture high-end LCD’s, but we’d like to be known as a company that gives back as well.”

As for the TV itself, you’ll get the usual high-def goodies, with 1080p resolution, 120Hz flicker-free images, deep blacks and more. MSRP on the high-performance set is $1,499.
