New Zune Players Coming Soon

The current Zune comes in five colors, but only one shade of storage—30GB.

Microsoft is planning new colors and capabilities for its anti-iPod -- and it's all expected in October.

Hot on the heels of the new iPods, it looks like Microsoft might be updating the Zune too.

Engadget says they’ve got a bunch of crazy names like Zune 2 (OK, that’s not all that crazy), Draco, Scorpio, etc. Sounds like a series of bad colognes to me.

There will be flash-based ones and hard drive-based ones, smaller versions, more colors, 4GB or 8GB models, etc., so pick your poison. There’s not much other info except that they are expected to haunt your holiday shopping starting around October 16.

Sure there may not be too much info to get pumped up, but do you think this guy really cares?
