Panasonic’s new DMP-BD30 will be a next gen from this DMP-BD10 player
If you hate toggling back and forth between the menus and the movie on your DVD, Panasonic’s latest Blu-ray player might be just what you’re looking for.
Panasonic’s latest 1080p Blu-ray player, the DMP-BD30, features Final Standard Profile to give those added functions that help separate the high-def DVD players from standard DVD (aside from better picture quality).
Two cool attributes of the Final Standard Profile—the Picture-in-Picture and Audio Mixing.
P-in-P lets you peruse and select from menu items like adding director commentary, storyboard illustrations or actor voiceover performance and keep the movie going onscreen all the while. Audio Mixing lets you switch the sound between the main window and those extra sub windows.
The DMP-BD30 also has an SD Memory Card slot so you can view still images recorded to a card, and play back HD content recorded in AVCHD format.
Panasonic’s DMP-BD30 has an MSRP of $499.95.
