Last week we told you about this spectacular California home outfitted by custom electronics pro Audio Impact.

It was easy to see why it was one of our Home of the Year finalists in the overall category, but we didn’t want to just gloss over the notable master suite, which was also a finalist in that category. And it definitely sparkles.

The ceiling is 25 feet high with beautiful moldings and recessed patterns, and a stair case leads to an office with a balcony that protrudes into the top portion of the master bedroom space. There is a double-sided glass fireplace that leads into the master bathroom, and if the 60-inch Pioneer plasma in the bedroom isn’t enough there’s a 37-inch Sharp LCD that’s hidden behind a one-way mirror wall.

“The Bathroom itself is exquisite and features in-ceiling water resistant speakers and even one in the shower,” says Audio Impact’s Ryan Lipkovicius of the Monitor Audio in-ceiling and in-wall speakers. “There is an entire mirrored wall that has a TV that is viewable through the mirror—this allows the TV to be totally hidden when not in use. The bathroom TV allows view of satellite, Blu-ray disc or even the front door.”

All of that viewing and its management comes courtesy of a Control4 automation system, which also allows for plenty of tunes and playlists to be piped into the room.

The hidden TV wasn’t exactly easy to set up, says Lipkovicius—at least not nearly as easy as it is to control.

“It was challenging trying to get the angles of the lights right so that there was no glare on the TV, but we we are able to set it up so that when the homeowner walks into the bathroom and pushes a button on the wall the lights turn on to their specified level and the TV tunes to CNN,” he says.

And shutting down all of the A/V in there is as simple as flushing the toilet. With the push of one button, when leaving the bathroom, all the lights and the TV and audio are turned off.
