People are becoming more dependent on the iPad and smartphones for music. There are docks, cables and other ways to connect those portables to your AV setup. However, Marmitek can do the same thing without wires, via the BoomBoom 75 Bluetooth Music receiver.

This newly announced product can stream music from your iPhone, Android device, iPad and other compatible portables, right to your AV system. It works with all audio installations, whether you have a dock or a radio/CD player with aux-in, line-in or an MP3 connection.

Connecting the receiver to your AV system gives it a boost of Bluetooth. With the capability to stream up to eight compatible devices, this option can also provide good sound for tablet PC movies, web radio services like Spotify, or even the option to share portable music at a friends’ house.

Now comes the sad news: According to the Marmitek website, the BoomBoom 75 Bluetooth Music receiver is currently only available to the European AV crowd. There’s no word on if or when it will start selling in the U.S. The company, however, has it listed for €34.95/31.95GBP (just under $50 U.S.).
